DKT’s expanding list of contraceptive products and services provides women and men with more choices – choices of modern contraceptive methods, choices of contraceptive brands, and choices of providers. DKT’s condom varieties include aromas, textures, delay lubrication, flavors, and cool and warming lubricants. The options for oral contraceptive users include standard low-dose oral contraceptives, cyproterone orals, progestin-only oral contraceptives, triphasics, drospirenone oral contraceptives, and oral contraceptives with and without iron. Our IUDs include CuT380s, Cu375s, slightly smaller IUDs (“Slim”), “SafeLoad” IUDs (simplified insertion), and Silverline (Cu380 Ag) IUDs. Other product innovations brought to market by DKT include mifepristone (25mg) emergency contraceptives as well as standard levonorgestrel emergency contraception; combination mifepristone/misoprostol medical abortion packets as well as misoprostol by itself; and the purchase and provision of the Sino II implant in Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Mozambique.
