We Deliver: By the end of 2016 we will provide over 32 million couple years of protection via the provision of family planning products and services. In 2017, we plan to reach 35 million.
We’re Cost Effective: We pride ourselves on keeping overheads low; headquarters costs account for only 2% of our annual budget, while fundraising accounts for .2%. This ensures that more of your contribution goes directly to the people we serve.
We’re a 4 Star Charity: DKT received the highest rating from Charity Navigator in June 2016.
We’re Expanding Our Reach: We are working to expand our geographic reach to 20 new countries in the next two years, primarily in West Africa and Latin America. Eleven of these countries are designated as critical to the Family Planning 2020 mission.
We Fight for Women and Girls: Family planning is taboo in some cultures, but it is absolutely essential to helping women and girls achieve their full potential. DKT estimates that the services we provided averted over 5 million unwanted pregnancies and 3.8 million unsafe abortionsin the past year alone.
