Another record breaking year for DKT: 2025 Health Impact and Sales Results are out now!

Dear Friend of DKT,

2025 was not an easy year for the global reproductive health community. Funding uncertainty and disruption across the international health landscape created many challenges. Through it all, DKT remained a steady presence, continuing to deliver the products, services, and information that women and families around the world depend on.

That steadiness produced a record-breaking year. DKT delivered more than 70 million Couple Years of Protection (CYPs) across more than 100 countries in 2025. We launched over 56 new products, expanding access to a wider range of sexual and reproductive health options. And we continued to strengthen our position as one of the largest providers of contraception and safe abortion products, services, and technology in the world.

Each year, using established health impact calculators, DKT reports out on a range of health impact statistics by country. We measure and share these results, along with the methodology behind them, as part of our long-standing commitment to transparency. A detailed breakdown by country is available on our website.

In 2025, the collective effort of our teams around the world helped avert an estimated:

  • 27.8 million unintended pregnancies
  • 22.6 million unsafe abortions
  • 253,600 child deaths
  • 55,400 maternal deaths

These outcomes reflect the dedication of DKT teams working across more than 100 countries. Our health impact is grounded in our product sales and distribution results. Keep an eye on our website as we will soon be releasing the full breakdown by product type and country.

We also trained and detailed more than 915,000 health care providers.  From midwives and doctors to pharmacists and nurses, DKT teams increased the capacity of these key service providers to provide information and care.

When disruption happens elsewhere, DKT fills the gaps. Our sustainable social enterprise model means we are not dependent on any single source of support; we are built to provide reliable access to critical SRH care, even in uncertain times. That resilience is what allows us to reach communities that might otherwise be left behind.

We are grateful to the many partners, colleagues, donors, and DKT team members who made these results possible.

We look forward to building on this momentum together in 2026.

Cheers,

Chris Purdy

Empowering providers to deliver quality sexual and reproductive healthcare

DKT builds provider capacity to deliver quality care through training, on-the-job mentoring, and medical detailing. In 2025, DKT built up the capacity of approximately 915,900 healthcare providers across the countries we serve. This includes doctors, midwives, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy assistants, equipping them with the knowledge to deliver high-quality contraceptive and safe abortion care.

DKT works with healthcare providers to facilitate the provision of clinic services in both the private and public sectors. We deliver high-quality clinical services by supporting network clinics, operating DKT-owned clinic facilities, and partnering with service delivery points to build provider capacity. Countries like Pakistan and Indonesia, where we have the biggest clinic networks, made up 38% of the total providers trained, training 102,054 and 246,132 providers, respectively.
