Myanmar
DKT Myanmar at a Glance
- DKT Myanmar was established in 2014 with the programmatic goals of introducing new contraceptives to the market, increasing understanding and acceptance of contraception, and expanding the availability of reproductive health products across the country.
- In Myanmar, inadequate access to sexual health information and services has delayed progress against contraceptive uptake goals. Maternal mortality remains high for the region at 178 deaths per 100,000 live births, and heavily impacts women from rural areas.
- Myanmar is experiencing economic and political challenges, but DKT continues to serve the medical and commercial market as the primary provider of contraceptive and safe abortion products in the country.
- DKT Myanmar's portfolio includes condoms, injectables, oral contraceptive pills, emergency contraceptive pills, IUDs, implants, and safe abortion products. For a full list of products, contact DKT leadership.
