Dear Friend of DKT,
Do you want some good news?
Here it is: DKT continues to deliver reproductive products, services and information to people all around the world at a time when donor support is on the decline, attacks on reproductive rights are on the rise, and all manner of crises thwart and distract from our ability to meet the needs of consumers.
In Mozambique, our outreach teams reached more women and girls than at any point in the program’s history. In Turkey, demand for affordable contraceptives pushed sales to levels we haven’t seen before, even as the country manages high inflation and a weakening currency. And in the Philippines, our PREMIERE condom brand showed up for Pride and the LGBTQIA+ community, reaching hundreds of thousands of people.
Below, we share a few success stories that we hope inspire you (there are many more where these came from). Your support helps make this a reality.
Cheers,
Christopher Purdy
DKT Philippines: Pride, Pleasure, and a Whole Lot of Dancing
This June, DKT Philippines’ PREMIERE Condoms brand joined LoveLaban 2026, Southeast Asia’s biggest Pride celebration, reaching a crowd of over 300,000 people. The activation went beyond product distribution: a “Hold Me Tight Hanging Bar” Challenge and an interactive mirror photobooth gave Pride-goers a moment to be seen and celebrated. The team also gave the crowd a first look at Almost Lovers, PREMIERE’s upcoming TikTok microseries on love, intimacy, and connection. The message behind every condom and lubricant handed out: pleasure doesn’t have a gender, and safer sex is for everyone, not just during Pride Month, but all year.

The team kept that same energy going with EZ Lubricant. When advertising rules said no to anything too intimate, the team said yes to dancing instead, building an entire campaign around “keep it going,” which works just as well as a dance move as it does as everything else. Billboards, train ads across three LRT-2 stations, and an online dance competition followed, ending in a finale dance-off that turned a heavily restricted product category into something people actually wanted to share.

The condom category explodes: DKT Turkey’s record-breaking June
June was, in the words of the DKT Turkey team, the month “the condom category exploded.” The program sold over 1 million condoms in a single month, an all-time record, more than six times May’s volume, driven by a full restocking cycle and by DKT Turkey’s first-ever international export order, a shipment of Silky Kiss condoms to Azerbaijan.

The team also delivered a 35,000-unit government tender of Althea IUDs, opening a new public-sector channel, while Postpill One, the program’s emergency contraceptive brand, posted its second straight month of growth. It capped a first half of 2026 in which DKT Turkey has already surpassed its entire 2025 condom volume in just six months.
In Mozambique, reaching more women than ever as the health system adjusts to less outside support
Mozambique’s health system is still adjusting to the end of major U.S. foreign assistance programs that for years brought hundreds of millions of dollars in health funding into the country annually. It’s exactly the kind of moment when gaps in care tend to widen. However, DKT has stepped in to fill the gap. June was the strongest month in the history of DKT Mozambique’s outreach program: mobile clinics reached 24,433 women and girls with family planning services, the highest monthly total the program has ever recorded.

That wasn’t a one-month spike. Across the first half of the year, the outreach team served more than 120,000 women and girls, a 35% increase over the same period last year, and more than 26,600 of them adopted contraception for the very first time, women who, in a system under strain, might otherwise have gone without.
