I am writing today to ask you to consider making a gift to DKT International this ‘Giving Tuesday’ and as we approach the end of 2021.
DKT teams wake up every day with a focused mission – to ensure that women and men around the world can determine their reproductive destinies with the information, products, and services they want. We make the concept of ‘reproductive rights’ a reality by ensuring that modern contraceptive methods and reproductive health options are available, accessible, and affordable.
Your gift to DKT will enable us to continue reaching people in over 90 countries. We focus on last-mile distribution and historically vulnerable communities – work that costs more but also where the need is greatest. In 2020, DKT’s average cost of providing one year of contraceptive protection for a couple was $1.65. While approximately 70% of our operating budget is self-funded from sales revenues, we count on donor support for the balance of 30%. We don’t have a big fundraising budget and our total headquarters expenses (including fundraising) is less than 2% of our total operating budget.
