Christopher H. Purdy
Chris is the President and CEO of DKT International. From 1996 to 2011, he served as country director of DKT programs in Turkey, Ethiopia and Indonesia, where he managed the largest private social marketing family planning program in the world. He served as executive vice president from 2011 to 2013. He also serves as the CEO of carafem, a network of reproductive health centers serving populations in the USA. He is the author of numerous articles on family planning and social entrepreneurship.
Keri is the Chief Financial Officer and leads DKT’s Global Finance and Accounting function. Keri has over 20 years combined experience in CFO advisory, public accounting and industry experience working in accounting and financial reporting roles for publicly traded companies. She has global working experience, and has worked onsite in Eastern Europe, UK, Asia and South America to assist organizations with post-acquisition finance integration and IPO readiness activities. Keri attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned a bachelor of science in accounting. Keri holds an active CPA license.
Michele is the Administrator and the head of Human Resources. Michele has been with DKT since the 1990s. She handles DKT’s administrative duties and provides support for employees at headquarters and at DKT offices oversees. Michele produces DKT’s annual social marketing statistics report, which compiles contraceptive sales data from the world’s largest social marketing organizations. Prior to joining DKT, Michele worked as an HIV/AIDS counselor and ran her own business. Michele’s passions include traveling, advocating for human rights, and spending time with her extended family and friends.
Tracy is the Global Corporate Controller and Vice President of Finance. Tracy has over 15 years of combined experience in external audit, internal audit, financial transformation, and technical accounting. Tracy obtained her undergraduate degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University in China, majoring in International Business – Industrial Foreign Trade. She also attended Texas A&M University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Accountancy. Tracy holds an active CPA license and CFA designation.
Valerie is the Divisional Controller. Prior to DKT, Valerie held the corporate controller role at two national companies. For over 20 years she has managed and consulted for domestic and international non-profit organizations, private sector companies and the United Nations (UN). Valerie has a solid background in operational accounting, streamlining processes, implementing ERP systems and staff development. She is an advocate for women’s rights and enjoys being able to make a real impact in her career.
Carlos is the Financial Special Projects Manager. Previously, Carlos has been a proprietor of several small businesses in El Salvador, as the office coordinator for Pop Rocks, and worked in the Comptroller’s Office at American University in Washington, DC. He is experienced in all aspects of accounting and handles DKT’s payroll of domestic and international staff and the reconciliation of the general ledger of the DC Headquarters. Carlos has a passion for gourmet cooking and contemporary Latin American music.
Omer is a Financial Reporting Supervisor. Omer supports the monthly financial closing process which includes management reporting, grant reporting, reviewing accounts payable and analyzing monthly financial activities. In addition, Omer assists with audit preparation and global financial consolidation including foreign currency translation and inter-company eliminations. In his free time, Omer enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and spending time with friends.
Elizabeth is the Grants and Program Manager. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton College, where she studied History with a focus on health, the environment, and education. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Elizabeth appreciates that Washington DC has real seasons, and enjoys spending time exploring DC’s parks, supporting local sports teams, and eating through the district’s ramen restaurants. At DKT, Elizabeth manages the organization’s grant portfolio and supports business development. Elizabeth is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health in Global Health at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.
Hayley is the Accounts Payable Manager & Payroll Specialist. Hayley provides support to the business by ensuring a timely and efficient delivery on all payment request processing, booking of all bank transactions, vendor payments and daily review of the grant trackers providing support where needed. She is also responsible for the end-to-end processing of the company payroll twice monthly and reconciliation of the payroll accrual accounts. Additionally, Hayley is involved in the monthly financial closing including bank reconciliation & management reporting. Hayley’s career began in the medical science field before she found her passion for all things finance and accounting.
Aviva is a staff accountant and a recent graduate from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Information Systems. Before joining DKT full-time, Aviva worked as a finance and accounting intern with DKT. During her leisure time, she enjoys making crafts, bullet-journaling, and reading novels.
Will Liu is a staff accountant at DKT HQ. He graduated in June 2020 from George Washington University with a Master’s degree in Accountancy. His main work includes providing accounting support to the DKT country offices for global reporting. He also assists the HQ month end closing by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. In his spare time, Will likes to play basketball, watch movies, and travel with friends.
Calla is our newest Program Officer at DKT, supporting Grants and Communications. Calla graduated from Carleton College with a degree in American Studies and Educational Studies and is passionate about reproductive justice and public health. In her free time, she enjoys baking chocolate chip cookies, reading books, and spending time outside with her friends and dogs.
Lashelle is the Deputy Office Administrator. Lashelle provides support to the CEO and performs various HR/admin tasks. Prior to joining DKT she has years of experience in medical offices and is looking forward to bringing her skills to the non-profit arena. Originally from Connecticut, Lashelle attended the University of Connecticut where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Anthropology with a focus in Medical Anthropology. In her spare time Lashelle loves being outdoors, hanging out with her cat, learning new languages and cooking.
